Youth Coaching

You may be asking "doesn't my kid stay active enough?", and that may be the case. Coaching for children is more than just making sure they hit there step quota for the week. It's also about brain development.

Why Youth Fitness?

When we are born we have to learn how to do everything from learning how to hold a spoon to walking and talking. That learning continues while our bodies grow and our brain learns so many new things. The connection between the brain and the muscles in your body is mind blowing and so very important for brain development. Learning movements like kicking a soccer ball or jumping into a circle can help the brain make connections that it can't make otherwise. A child that makes a habit of exercising is more likely to keep that habit as an adult.

My Story

Not only is exercise amazing and necessary for our brain development but also for our social interaction. Growing up I was never that child that was considered athletic or strong or fast. I could hardly keep up with my friends in active games and sports were out of the question. It wasn't from a lack of trying or want and soon I became discouraged and I didn't know how to love the body God gave me. As I got older it just got worse until I met this sweet woman who helped me understand that exercising could be done at my own pace and it could be fun.  I fell in love with working out and celebrating the beautiful strong body God gave me.

Empower Confidence

I want to use the gift God gave me to help children of all ages fall in love with moving their bodies and gain confidence in who God made them. I teach fun and energetic classes with exercises and movements that are age appropriate. The exercises are not only fun but also helping your child's brain develop, shhh don't tell them that. This may look like playing a simple catch game with a twist or using some weights for the older kids. Helping them learn the base movements so as they age the movements will automatically become easier since the brain muscle connection has already been made. As an ACE Certified Youth Fitness Specialists I am committed to helping your children grow into healthier adults while having fun.
